1. Introduction

VoucherNest is a personal coupon organiser that helps you save, manage, and use coupon cards. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, why it needs it, and how it is handled.

By using VoucherNest you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. What the App Accesses

• Camera — used to photograph your coupon cards and scan barcodes. Coupon images may be sent to VoucherNest's AI/OCR processing providers to extract coupon details such as brand, offer, expiry date, and codes. VoucherNest does not intentionally retain coupon images after processing; those providers may process them under their own privacy policies.
• Location — after you accept the nearby-store location disclosure, the app sends your current location, city/country information, and the coupon brand through VoucherNest's server to Google Places so it can return nearby store results. VoucherNest does not attach an account or personal profile to this request. For Store Alerts, precise location is used by the device's background geofencing feature to trigger local notifications when you are near a saved store; ongoing background geofencing location is processed on your device and is not uploaded to VoucherNest's server.
• Notifications — used to send you a reminder when you are near a store with an active coupon. You can turn this on or off at any time inside the app.
• Coupon Data and sharing — coupon details you add normally stay on your phone. If you voluntarily create a public share link, the brand, offer, and expiry are temporarily stored on VoucherNest's server to serve that link. Barcode, coupon number, and notes are included only if you explicitly opt in. Anyone with the public link can view the selected fields, so do not include redemption codes unless you accept that risk. Share records expire automatically after up to 29 days or on the coupon's expiry date, whichever comes first, and revoking a link deletes its server record.
• Store lookup — the app may use the brand name and, when available, your current location/search area to find nearby store addresses through Google Places. Google-provided place identifiers and store details may be saved on your device with the coupon so Store Alerts can work. VoucherNest does not attach your name, account, or personal profile to this lookup.
• Advertising — the app shows ads provided by Google. Google may use your device's advertising ID to show relevant ads. You can opt out in your phone's Google settings under Google → Ads.
• OCR and AI providers — coupon images may be processed by Google Gemini through VoucherNest's API server and, if that service is unavailable, by OCR.space. These services receive the image submitted for text extraction and may process it according to their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Advertisements

VoucherNest (Android App) shows advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, Google may use your device's advertising ID (a random number assigned to your phone). This helps show ads that may be relevant to you.

You can reset or opt out of personalised ads at any time through your phone's settings under Google → Ads.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

Coupon information is stored on your phone. We do not back up your local wallet to our server. A voluntarily shared coupon is automatically purged from our server at its expiry date or after up to 29 days, whichever comes first; revoking its link deletes the shared record sooner. Old expired local coupons are removed automatically once you have more than 10 expired entries.

You can delete any coupon at any time from inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes everything.

6. Children's Privacy

VoucherNest is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Your Control Over Your Data

You are always in control:

• Delete any coupon at any time from inside the app.
• Turn off location access in your phone settings to stop proximity alerts.
• Turn off the notification toggle inside the app to stop all coupon reminders.
• Revoke any public coupon share link from inside the app to delete its temporary server record.
• Opt out of personalised ads via your phone's Google settings.
• Uninstall the app to permanently remove all stored data from your device.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the updated date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the app after any update means you accept the revised policy.
